The Project Continued....

Sun Oct 7, 2007, 5:52 PM
Sorry, my watchers, for never logging on! I've been trying to keep my head with the start of a new school year, so this was shoved to the back burner.

Originally, the idea was that Looking for Angels would be a Christian literary magazine, seeking to provide spiritual insights in quality poetry and prose. The primary audience will be young adults. While the content and purpose will remain the same, I am thinking that it would be simpler to start with an e-zine.

I'm not sure how copyright laws would cover an individually "published" magazine, which was what I formerly had in mind (see the old journal). As far as my understanding goes, copyright regarding an e-zine would probably be less of an issue.

LfA will be based from deviantART as a group, in addition to the e-zine.

Still in the beginning stages, LfA is in need of writers who focus both on quality spiritual content and on quality writing technique. I am also seeking artists interested in creating a logo for the magazine (and an avatar for this account). In addition, there is a possibility of a front-page art feature, perhaps with literature accompaniment, for which artists are welcomed to submit.

If you are interested in joining the group and/or contributing to the magazine, please send a note with "Join" or "Contribute" in the subject line. You can also note :iconalchemy-of-the-heart:, my personal account.

God's peace,
Alchemy-of-the-Heart, your hopeful to-be-editor

I'm not Christian, but can I still submit stuff?

If you expect the unexpected, doesn't that make the unexpected, the expected?

Assuming it fits with the Christian views and themes of the magazine, yes.

Well, I guess I'll just show you what I've got and you can say whether you want it there or not! :) I'm flexible.

Okay, sounds good... (Good gracious, I'm sorry I've taken so long in replying... The idea is kind of stagnant right now...)
:iconcatnipkitty:
Don't worry about it. Everyone gets busy and forgets about certain things. I know I've been busy with college and I feel like I'm spinning around in circles with nothing to stop me! :faint: But I'll manage. ;)
